I realize that we have been absent from our classroom blog lately, but I still have been taking pictures of what we have been up to.  So finally I am posting some the pictures of what has been happening in Room 163.  I will work harder to ensure that we will be posting, hopefully on a weekly basis!

Doubles Raps!!

As part of our learning for doubles I shared with my class these doubles raps.  We liked it so much we are trying to write our own doubles rap.  Hopefully we might be able to share it!

100 Days Smarter

Our class blog just had some new websites added under the Useful Websites tab.  You can try these at home to practice sight words, math facts and some mental math!

Our class recently celebrated the 100th day of school.

We had our 100 day on Thursday.  We had a party for 100 day and I brought 100 stickers to school to show my class. - Hannah

I was not here for the party because I was sick. - Isaiah

The class party was actually the 100 day celebration.  It was awesome! - Kale

On the 100th day of school we had a really fun party and we made glasses that are shaped like the number 100 and we made fruit loop necklaces and we also wrote 100 things that we do want and 100 things that we don't want. - Stella

For the 100th day of school we all had to bring in a collection of 100 things.  I brought in 100 Squinkees. - Tanaye

Smartie Math!!

In Smartie math, at the end if we are done we can eat our Smarites. - Stella

We coloured the Smartie math and we counted. - Prince

We used Smarties. - M.

First for Smartie math we wrote our name on the back.  Second we got our Smarties.  And then we coloured the Smarties in on the paper.  Then we opened our box of Smarties.  And then we filled in the blank spaces on the paper.  Then we coloured the boxes of the Smartie colours. - Carter

At the end, we got to eat the Smarties.  They were yummy! - Tanaye

We got papers and we coloured them in.  Then we counted the Smarties in the paper. - F.

Our class did some Smartie math last week in school.  Using Smarties, our class counted and graphed the Smarties by colour.  After finishing, everyone was able to enjoy the Smarties!

Counting Collections
